Workplace hazards exist in multiple forms: including potential, existing or generated. Hazards are evaluated by factors such as loss likelihood, duration and frequency of exposure to the hazard. Once they are evaluated systems are put in place to mitigate them through use of controls, procedures and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Once finished this course, learners will have an understanding of hazard assessments, will know how to properly identify workplace hazards, will show an ability to evaluate hazards found, prioritize and control hazards based on the risk posed, as well as maintain and review hazard assessments.
